Zero-data-loss edge architecture
- Challenge
- Frequent drops on the industrial LTE network caused telemetry loss, severely skewing OEE calculations, business intelligence and operational KPI reporting.
- Solution
- An Edge Gateway was installed at the machine as the single source of truth, with exclusive PLC polling. A store-and-forward buffer holds telemetry during LTE outages and auto-resyncs on reconnection, feeding both the local tools (OCR) and the main SCADA.
- Result
- 100% data integrity guaranteed for OEE and BI analytics, network drops no longer have any impact, PLC performance protected and real-time feeds to local plant applications.

Port electrification and fleet logistics — world-leading operator
Smart charging and load control for an electric fleet
- Challenge
- Uncoordinated electric truck charging during operational downtime created severe peak demand penalties and left key trucks uncharged and unavailable when vessel operations resumed.
- Solution
- Chargers integrated over OCPP (Node-RED gateways) and trucks over CAN bus on the MikroTik network. Telemetry is cross-referenced against MES shift schedules to direct low-battery trucks to free chargers, with dynamic power throttling.
- Result
- Over 50% of peak demand penalties eliminated, over 80% EV fleet readiness for port shifts, and optimised facility energy consumption with no manual intervention.
